Salt and Sage

Why Salt and Sage?

At my age, you become a bit salty. I’m 60, just turned 60. And when I did, the world seemed to change. Or, rather, I changed, I think. The things that mattered to me when I was 20, or even 30, no longer mattered. Life is strange, we grow up thinking we are someone, and realize along the way that we are someone else, someone that is made up of bits and pieces of the music we like, the books we’ve read, who our friends are, what we enjoy when no one’s looking. I am like that, I’m someone I never thought I’d be, I write, I create, I’m a techy nerd, I’m an artist, I’m a photographer, a mother, a wife, and someone’s kid. I am me.

You may not like my sense of humour, but at least I have one. You may not get my weird jokes, but they make me laugh, and that’s what matters in the end.

I seek calmness in my life, a sense of peace. I worry about my future and the future of those I care about. I want to be comfortable. I want my family to be comfortable. And, I will use all of my power to do that. I believe we all have the power to reshape our lives into a place we want to live in. We are smart, resourceful, and motivated. Whether it’s money, our home, our work, or our mental stability, we can mold our world into what we want it to be. That’s what this site is about—taking nothing and turning it into something.
